Not enough mass for good browningAug 01, 2008 This is a top notch product, well made out of good material but when you toss a steak or burger on the grill you will not get those nice grill marks on your meat that you expect to see.
The SS racks don't have the mass of the porcelain on steel racks my grill came with and consequently don't have the same browning effect.
I will be replacing these SS racks with the porcelain on steel racks. The cast iron racks are just too much trouble to bother with.
stainless steel replacement grates for weber gas grill Jun 24, 2008 these grates were a great investment and my grill is back to new again. I just wish they were self cleaning.

gratesMay 11, 2008 Grates quality was as advertised. The only exception was the size was off about 1/2 inch that I had to grind off to make it fit my Char Broil grill. These were Weber grill grates but were cheaper than the comparable grills for Char Broil

Go for it!Apr 24, 2008 We read the reviews on these stainless steel grates before purchasing them, and nobody had used them.
They are very light weight compared to the porcelain ones and we questioned the durability of these. We have now used them a minimum of twice a week for over 2 months and they are great! They still work as new and think they will last as long as the originals - over 3 years. We feel that they are a superior choice to the originals and highly recommend them.
